<< Graphic Design -- << Submitting Files -- PDF Files

My file is ready for print, can I send a PDF?

The growing use of PDFs prevents a mistake from occurring, right? Not always!

A PDF preserves your file as you see the file on your screen only if you have the settings correct in the software. In layman's terms, a PDF is like a piece of paper. A PDF captures all the text and graphic elements in your file and flattens the file.

If you supply a A PDF:

  • Create a high-print quality PDF
  • Embed all fonts
  • Include ¼-inch bleeds with centered crop marks (if applicable)

If there is a change to your file, you need to submit a new PDF file. Occasionally, minor changes can be made to a file. But 9 out of 10 times, we cannot make the requested change. Supplying a new PDF ensures the file is correct for printing.
