Direct Mailing List Formats Database

With the various progams availble to create direct mailing lists, it is necessary to save the file in the correct format. This allows Jobs Printing & Mailing to open and use your direct mailing list.

Acceptable Formats:

  • Database Format (.dbf)
  • Excel Spreadsheet (.xls)
  • Comma Delimited File (.csv) 
  • Text File (.txt)
  • ASCII

Unacceptable Format:

  • Microsoft Word Label Template: This file type must print on labels, apply by hand and mail First Class

If you have another direct mailing list type, please feel free to contact Jobs Printing & Mailing. Sometimes, if you "Save As" the direct mailing list with a compatible file extenstion, we can open the file.

It is important to include an "Or Current Resident" field in your direct mailing list if the list contains a first and last name. The Post Office will not deliver to the designated address if the addressee moved.
